Our tours offers you a true understanding about Aboriginal culture from a Goenpul perspective to North Stradbroke Island. This unique experience can be enjoyed by all ages.
With every tour our guide will meet your bus at the ferry/boat terminal or at our gallery. We will then proceed to Polka Point and after a short introduction our guide will welcome you to the island also acknowledging the traditional people of the land before commencing the tour.
Bus/Coach Tours ~ approximately 6 hours
Aboriginal guide/s are available to take you on guided tour/s on North Stradbroke Island. Places of culture and historical significance can be visited where the guide/s will explain about the spiritual, cultural, and historical perspective of each place. (Morning tea and lunch need to be booked in advance).
Goompi Trail
Take a short stroll along the foreshore of Dunwich overlooking beautiful Moreton Bay. Learn about bush foods, medicines, traditional ochre's and see the remnants of our old rock fish trap.
Cost: $11.50 pp ~ Aproximately 1 hour
Artifact Displays
Learn about the different sorts of artifacts most commonly used by the local Aboriginal people of Moreton Bay. Displays will include fish spear, woomera,sheilds and the different types of boomerangs and their uses.
Cost: $8.00 pp ~ Approximately 45 minutes
